What will I study in Arabic & Islamic Studies?
The programme combines Arabic language, Islamic civilisation, Qur’anic and Hadith studies, Islamic jurisprudence, ethics, history, and contemporary issues to provide graduates with a balanced and comprehensive education
Do I need to speak Arabic before applying?
No. Students begin with foundational language development and progressively build proficiency throughout the programme.
Can I study entirely online?
Yes. The programme is delivered through AOU’s flexible digital learning platform, allowing students to access lectures, learning resources, assessments, and academic support from anywhere.
Is the programme recognised and approved?
Yes. Al-Muhibbah Open University is licensed by the National Universities Commission (NUC), and all programmes are delivered in accordance with applicable regulatory standards.
What career opportunities are available after graduation?
Graduates pursue careers in education, translation, public service, community leadership, cultural organisations, publishing, diplomacy, and religious education, while many continue into postgraduate study and academic research.
How long does the programme take?
The bachelor’s degree is typically completed in four years through the 100 Level admission pathway, with shorter durations available for eligible Direct Entry applicants.
