As Director of Business Development, Dr Ladi Ibrahim Thomas leads the University's business development strategy, corporate partnerships, institutional collaborations, and stakeholder engagement initiatives. She works closely with the University's leadership to identify opportunities that strengthen academic excellence, enhance student outcomes, and position Al-Muhibbah Open University as a leading provider of flexible, future-focused higher education.
Prior to her current role, Dr Thomas built an accomplished career spanning over twenty years in education and development, serving in leadership positions with UNICEF, the Foundation for Ethnic Harmony in Nigeria (FEHN), Nigerian Turkish Nile University, and the Al-Muhibbah Foundation. Her experience encompasses public personnel management, communications, programme development, institutional leadership, and human capital development.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts from the University of Jos, a Master of Public Personnel Management (MPPM) from the National Open University of Nigeria, and a PhD. She has also completed specialised professional certifications in Kingian Nonviolence Conflict Management through the Centre for Nonviolence and Peace Studies, University of Rhode Island, USA, reflecting her commitment to leadership, dialogue, and sustainable development.
Today, Dr Thomas continues to play a pivotal role in forging national and international collaborations, expanding institutional opportunities, and advancing initiatives that prepare graduates for success in an increasingly interconnected global economy.
