Barr. Muslim Maigari is the Registrar of Al-Muhibbah Open University, bringing extensive experience in legal practice, public administration, institutional governance, and policy development. As the University's chief administrative officer, he plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient management of academic and administrative processes while upholding the highest standards of integrity, accountability, and regulatory compliance.
A qualified Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, Barr. Maigari was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2011. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Administration from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, combining legal expertise with a strong foundation in public policy and institutional administration. His professional interests include public policy, governance, energy law, and environmental law.

Professional Experience
As Registrar of Al-Muhibbah Open University, Barr. Muslim Maigari oversees the University's administrative operations, statutory governance, regulatory affairs, records management, admissions administration, and Senate support services. He works closely with the Governing Council, Vice-Chancellor, and other principal officers to ensure that the University's policies, academic regulations, and administrative processes align with the standards of the National Universities Commission (NUC) and international best practices.
Before assuming his current role, Barr. Maigari served as Legal Adviser to the Al-Muhibbah Foundation and Registrar of the Al-Muhibbah Institute of ICT & Entrepreneurship, where he contributed to institutional development, governance, and policy implementation. Throughout his career, he has served on several public and private sector policy and governance committees, providing legal and administrative expertise across diverse initiatives.
Barr. Maigari is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association and the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He has represented the University at numerous national and international conferences and has played a key role in major institutional milestones, including the commencement of academic programmes, strategic university communications, and governance initiatives that continue to support the University's growth and reputation.
